Hauser & Wirth

Hauser & Wirth was founded in 1992 in Zurich by Iwan Wirth, Manuela Wirth, and Ursula Hauser. Since then, it has grown into one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries, with locations across Europe, Asia, and the United States. In 2018, Hauser & Wirth expanded its New York presence with a flagship space in SoHo, housed in a historic cast-iron building on Wooster Street. This location marked a return to the neighborhood’s artistic roots, recalling SoHo’s legacy as a hub for contemporary art in the late 20th century.

The SoHo space is more than just a gallery—it integrates museum-quality exhibitions with cultural programming, artist talks, and public engagement. It continues Hauser & Wirth’s mission of fostering deep connections between artists, collectors, and the broader community, further cementing its influence in the global art world.
